Museums go free for under 25s

NATIONAL museums and monuments are to be free to visit for the under 25s and teachers from April 4.

President Sarkozy spoke of the plans for free entry to museums and national monuments as part of “grand plans” for culture improvements in 2009, which he announced in Nîmes yesterday.

Acrochats

Accrochats has since closed...

Look where we went on Wednesday.... it's at the Odysseum - quite close to the Aquarium.

Euro10 for a child to get in. Under 18 months free. Euro3 for adults which includes a drink.

There are tables to eat at (bring own food - high chairs supplied) Vending machines - sweets to buy - bookshelves of books and mags free to borrow ..... and two internet stations.


Then there is an area of comfy chairs and another of bean bags...



.. great fun - I'd actually like to do it all myself - but I have to say at the end of the afternoon, my ears just rang!

Kids Over Christmas in Montpellier

Exposition "la Petite Planète" au Planétarium Galilée

Alors que l'équipe du Planétarium Galilée prépare le lancement de sa nouvelle production - le film d'animation "la Petite Planète" qui sortira pour les vacances de Noël - nous vous proposons une exposition gratuite qui décrit les principales étapes de la création des images de ce film d'animation 3D.

Ce film intitulé "La petite planète" est destiné à être projeté sur les écrans hémisphériques du planétarium Galilée de Montpellier et de celui du Palais de l'Univers et des Sciences de Cappelle La Grande. L'objectif est de réaliser un film pour un public familial, s'adressant particulièrement aux jeunes enfants à partir de 5 ans. La sortie de ce film est prévue pour le 20 décembre prochain...

Pour profiter au mieux de cette exposition, le Planétarium est ouvert au public les samedis de 13h30 à 21h00 ; les mercredis et dimanches de 13h30 à 18h00.

Jungle Jump


We finally made it to Jungle Jump,
really worth a trip on a rainy day - €8 for all day access and you pay only for the kids.


Lots of tables for the adults to take a picnic or sit and read a book.... some machines for drinks / sweets are available.
